Armed Forces Bowl
(wikipedia) The people behind the Fort Worth Bowl have renamed the early bowl season game, the Armed Forces Bowl. Bowl President Tom Starr said in a statement yesterday, published in the Houston Chronicle, that the name change was to "honor our nation's men and women in uniform, which gives us tremendous pride." While the game has gone unsponsored in the past, Bell Helicopter will be the title sponsor this year under a new agreement. The game, this year, will be played on December 23rd at 8 ET/7 CT on ESPN. It will feature a team from Conference USA and the Mountain West.
