Jarrett reinstated for Opening Game

The USC Trojans got good news when the NCAA made the ruling that allowed their star WR, Dwayne Jarrett to play in the first game this year. If you remember Jarrett violated an NCAA rule that states parents of student-athletes can pay for living arrangements of their children, but not for teammates. Former USC QB Matt Leinart and Jarrett shared an apartment where Leinart's father paid for most of the rent and the utilities. As punishment, Jarrett agreed to pay $5,352 to a charity of his choice since he received these extra benefits.
