While most fans of college football attend their respective universities to learn a trade that will benefit them in their post-graduate careers, have you ever wondered which football programs provide the best training for the NFL? If so, the Wall Street Journal has done all of the research and has your answer.
The Wall Street Journal Online, after completing its research, named Florida State the best program that best prepares its players for the NFL. The Seminoles currently have 45 NFL players, including 25 regular starters. Cross-state rival, the University of Florida Gators, came in second on the list.
The WSJ.com also named the top overrated and underrated programs, based on how players performed in the NFL, based on the predicted performance of their draft level. The top 5 most overrated programs were Texas Christian, Oregon State, Miami (FL), Oklahoma, and Arkansas. The top 5 most underrated programs listed were East Carolina, Arizona, San Jose State, West Virginia, and Colorado State.
