Bernie Kosar To Miami?

Written by In The Bleachers on .

Bernie Kosar, Miami QB from v1983-84, has told the Miami Herald that he would be interested in the vacant head coaching position. Kosar, who played 11 years in the NFL after leading Miami to the 1983 National Championship, has also been offered the President of the Cleveland Browns job as well. Kosar has remained active as a Miami trustee and says he had been approached by some fellow trustees. The Hurricanes were turned down Monday by Rutgers head coach, Greg Schiano, and have interviewed current defensive coordinator Randy Shannon for the job last held by Larry Coker. Marc Trestman, former quarterbacks coach and, for the moment, offensive coordinator at North Carolina State had expressed interest in the job before the Hurricanes job during the process that saw Coker hired.
