Spurrier Remains at South Carolina

Steve Spurrier has put to bed any chances that he might be Miami bound by signing a contract extension that pays the Ol' Ball Coach, an extra $500,000 per year. The new deal extends Spurrier through 2012. They will be going to a bowl game yet to be determined after a 7-5 campaign. South Carolina suffered five losses to ranked teams.
