A few weeks ago, we reported that ESPN was looking to move one of their cache of bowl games to the Sunday between the BCS and the BCS Championship. Today, the
MAC along with the GMAC Bowl, and ESPN annouced that that game will move from it's pre-Christmas slot to January 7, 2007 at 8 ET, the night before the BCS Final.
ESPN was looking to move a game to that slot to take advantage of the huge football audience that will have watched the second day of the NFL's Wild Card Weekend. The GMAC Bowl pitts teams from the Mid-American Conference and Conference USA. A team from the WAC could take the MAC's spot if there is not another bowl eligible team.
