Ohio State Back to Attend Jackson State
Erik Haw, a sophomore running back at Ohio State, will transfer to Division I-AA Jackson State, according to a Yahoo Sports News article. According to Scout.com, Haw was a 3-star recruit and the #58 running back in the nation in 2003. Haw had reportedly slid on the Buckeyes' depth chart, with starter Antonio Pittman returning and Chris Wells, one of the nation's top high school running back recruits, joining the team in the Fall.
Haw reportedly had interest in Arizona State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, UCLA, and West Virginia. Had he chosen to attend another DI-A school, Haw would have had to sit out a season in order to comply with NCAA rules. By selecting Jackson State, a DI-AA school, Haw will be eligible to play immediately.
