Pitt Recruiting News from RSW

Last night on Rizzo Sports Weekly, I had on Chris Peak, a Pitt recruiting analyst from Scout.com. (If you wanted to watch it online you could at 2:30est, just go to rizzosports.com and click on the TV link.) Anyway, as of right now, the Panthers have only 3 commitments. Their two main targets are Nick Sukay, who was at Notre Dame yesterday, and will also pay a visit to Pitt on Thursday. Pitt is up against ND, and PSU for Sukay, but Peak said that the Pitt coaches have recruited him the hardest. Also Pitt is the most likely of the 3 schools to want Sukay to play WR. Also, ND & PSU would probably at the moment at least try him at safety. Sukay could decide soon on a college. The other Pitt target is Toney Clemons, who is really open at this point. Look for Pitt to keep on Clemons doorstep. Pitt went crazy last year with the Pennsylvania recruits but Peak said that the state of PA isn't as strong at the top this year, which is making Pitt target a lot of out of region kids. However, Peak did say that PA's overall recruiting class this year will be strong.
