eery story for the day, the Marshall football team's plane was evacuated earlier today after the engine began smoking. No one was hurt, but its a painful reminder of the events of 35 years ago, in which a plane carrying members of the Marshall football team crahsed after a game. The team they had just finished playing: East Carolina. The anniversary is 4 days away.
Just scary. In a lighter note, Matthew Fox was not with the team, having already been Lost at sea. Fox is co-starring with Matthew #2 (McCauneghey, or something like that) in the upcoming, We are Marshall.
Psudo-editorial note: Having gone to Furman University, I was bred to have a supreme hatred for all things Marshall, as they were our chief 1-AA rival until moving up to Division 1-A. That being said, I wish nothing but the best for the Marshall football team and wish them all the safety they could enjoy.
