The NCAA ruled that former Oklahoma QB Rhett Bomar and offensive lineman J.D. Quinn were ruled ineligible Wednesday to play this season. Bomar enrolled at Sam Houston State and will be able to play in the 2007 season with two years of eligibilty remaining. Both were kicked off the Oklahoma team for accepting payment for more work than they performed at a car dealership, a violation of NCAA rules. The NCAA also ordered the players to pay the extra money to charities of their choice. Bomar owes $7,406.88, and Quinn owes $8,137.17.
