Paterno's Wife does the talking: Joe will be in the Booth Saturday

Last week Joe Paterno missed his first game since 1977 because of surgery he had on his leg due to a hit he took during the Wisconsin game. Under doctors orders he watched the game on TV from his house, only a few miles from Beaver Stadium. But this week the 79 year old will be in the booth for the final game at Beaver Stadium this year when the Michigan State Spartans come to town. According toThe Daily Collegian and his wife Sue Paterno, Joe will be back to practice today and will coach from a wheelchair in the booth. Although they didn't come right out and say it beforehand, the team dedicated the game to their injured coach and Senior Co-Captain Levi Brown even took the game ball directly to the coach after the game. He was able to give his pregame speech via speakerphone where he told the team to go out and play like they know how, trust the coaches, and he closed the speech by telling them that he loved them. If Penn State wins this weekend against Michigan State they will most likely be heading to the Outback Bowl on Jan. 1st against a SEC team to be named later.
