Brohm Healing Faster than Expected

At first when Louisville's Brian Brohm injured his thumb it was thought that he would be out until the much awailted match up between the Cardnails and the West Virginia Mountaineers on November 2nd but that might not be the case. The word out of Louisville is that Brohm might be able to take some snaps this week against Cincinnati. Hunter Cantwell will still start but Brohm is expected to see some playing time. This is a calculated risk for Bobby Petrino because he could send Brohm out there and he could get injured in a meaningless game and further kill his chances to play against the Mountaineers. But I think this is a good risk because it will give Brohm time to get some action at game speed and to lose some of the rust he might have by sitting out the past few weeks. Louisville has been quiet on the National scene since both Bush and Brohm have been injured and they need to play their best game against West Virginia and their best game involves a healthy but non-rusty Brohm. With the limited amount of marquee match-ups in the Big East, that game will be a huge barometer for each team's chances at a National Title.
