In The Bleachers Campus Tour
The In The Bleachers Campus Tour takes us all over the place as we find out who was kicked off the team and which players are too injured to play this week. First we start in Clemson were they lost wide receiver Chansi Stuckey who broke his foot in practice and could be sidelined up to five weeks. For the Tigers this season, the first team all ACC selection Stuckey has caught 25 passes for 331 yards and three touchdowns.
Moving to the other Tigers of the south, the Auburn Tigers lost center Joe Cope to a sprained right knee he got during the South Carolina game. Cope has started 16 games for the Tigers and head coach Tommy Tuberville has said that either Ben Grubbs, Jonathan Palmer or backup center Jason Bosley will get the start in this Saturday's game.
Keeping in the SEC the Georgia Bulldogs have annouced that quarterback Joe Tereshinski has returned from last month's high ankle sprain and has pracitced this week. If the ankle holds up in practice it is expected that Tereshinski will get the nod to start when the Bulldogs face Tennessee this week. This is good news for Bulldogs fans since they have not had solid play from the quarterback position since Tereshinski went down.
The ole ball coach of South Carolina has kicked reserve defensive end Kerry Bonds off the team after he was arrested for assult. From ESPN.com " Bonds was arrested on a felony assault charge Saturday, a day after police say he attacked a female student at a dorm. Bonds, a redshirt freshman from Tallahassee, Fla., saw limited playing time in two games this season."
In Morgantown, the West Virginia Mountaineers have suspended WR Jeremy Bruce for this week's game against Mississippi State for his arrest for a DUI. In three games this season Bruce has caught 3 passes for 66 yards.
Finally out west, the USC Trojans are going to be without another receiver. Receiver Chris McFoy is expected to miss at least four weeks after fracturing two bones in his shoulder area against Washington State. All American WR Dwayne Jarrett is questionable for this week's game against the Washington Huskies.
