Week 3: So Far
Like soe of you, I was away from the television for most of the day, but what a wonderful game in Auburn.
The Tigers survive a last minute drive by LSU and hang on to win, 7-3. There was a controversial pass interference call that was called back on a fourth down play against Auburn as LSU was driving in the mid-4th. The officials said the ball was tipped before contact, I tend to agree.
Great defensive struggle. Auburn will jum in he polls as they are the clubhouse leader in the SEC West.
The upset of the day was in South Bend, or it least will be when it finishes. Michigan has gone in to the Irish den and spanked them, 40-21 late 4th. Brady Quinn picked off three times. Chad Henne three scores, Michael Hart 31-120 and a score.
Oklahoma is up 10 in Oregon late, Adrian Peterson over 200 yards.
(I should not be allowed to pick games again.)
Louisville destroyed Miami, 31-7. Brian Brohm 10-14-181 1 td. Kolby Smith scores two on the ground. No life in the play of Miami.
All the ranked teams that were not playing ranked opponets win, Boston College in double overtime.
Michigan State comes from ten down early to beat Pitt, the Pirates enjoy Jack Wilson Bobblehead night and if the Mets win, they win the NL East. (Yes, the two are related.)
Syracuse snaps their 11 game losing streak, beating Illinois 31-21 in Champaign.
Virginia slips to Western Michigan at home, 17-10.
Finally, New Hampshire opens it's I-AA schedule with a 62-0 pasting of Stony Brook. They beat Northwestern last week.
More later.
