Operation Pick Em - Week 2 Picks
It’s early yet but there are some people who need to have a good week after looking bad this last week. There are seven games to pick from this week and some comment from our contestants. As you will see, Michigan’s loss to ASU did not deter people from picking them against Oregon.
Virginia Tech (0%) at LSU (100%)
- Let's just say that after a trying first game against ECU, I would really hate to be Sean Glennon on Saturday. – Adam Nettina, Pitch Right
-An ACC school playing a SEC school at home? Tech needs more than just defense. They'll need to pay the refs. – Jon, Cornnation
-I see LSU winning this one going away. They looked tough last week, and the crowd at Death Valley will be pumped. - Greg Gowins, Average Joe
Oregon (8%) at Michigan (92%)
-A scrambling Div 1AA (excuse me, Football Playoff Subdivision) QB gave the Wolverine defense fits last week. Look for more of the same with a 1A (sorry, Football Bowl Subdivision) QB this week. - Greg Gowins, Average Joe and only person to pick Oregon.
- Michigan will win because Homeland Security might not be able to handle the resulting vortex of humanity in Ann Arbor if the Wolverines don't right the ship. – Jim Gindin, Frontier Football
- Michigan will win but I can't wait for you to check out the video we are putting together at the fanhouse about last weeks UM game! I wrote a bluegrass song, and I'm going to change the words up each week for the most embarrassing loss and get a video out of it. You can find the song here. – John, Mountainlair
Miami (0%) at Oklahoma (100%)
- Am I supposed to think Miami is back just because they killed a mediocre Marshall team? – Adam, Pitch Right
- Oklahoma is damned good this season. This game will tell us what each of these teams offenses can do against a really good defense. Oklahoma's offense will do better. – Jon, Cornnation.
South Florida (39%) at Auburn (61%)
- This is a tough game to pick because both teams were a little down last week, but I think South Florida gets out with the "ugly" win. - Adam, Pitch Right
- Auburn in a cake walk at home. - Greg Gowins, Average Joe.
- The Bulls are ready to pull upsets like this, but not in Jordan-Hare. Expect a close game. –Jim Gindin, Frontier Football
TCU (15%) at Texas (85%)
-Texas didn’t look sharp last week, but I have a feeling their mind wasn’t totally on Arkansas State. TCU’s streak of wins against Big 12 teams comes to an end this week. - Brian Sakowski, In The Bleachers.
Wake Forest (8%) at Nebraska (92%)
- Nebraska's offense looks too good even for a stout defense like Wake offense. Skinner's injury leaves Wake's offensive ability in doubt. - Adam, Pitch Right.
- Nebraska has too much for Wake. There will be plenty of Husker fans at the game so it's not like it'll be that big of a road game. - Jon, Cornnation
BYU (15%) at UCLA (85%)
- The Bruins once again show that the Pac 10 is a three team race. – Brian Sakowski, In The Bleachers.
- I like BYU's defense, but UCLA looks more in sync at this point of the season. - Adam, Pitch Right.
- BYU looked ok against Arizona last week, but that just won't get it done at the Rose Bowl against the Bruins. - Greg Gowins, Average Joe
Bruce Feldman - LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Auburn, Texas, Nebraska, UCLA Brian Sakowski - LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Auburn, Texas, Nebraska, UCLA Charlie Swager - LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, South Florida, Texas, Nebraska, BYU Chris Mason - LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Auburn, Texas, Nebraska, UCLA John Radcliff - LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Auburn, TCU, Nebraska, UCLA Jon Johnston - LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Auburn, Texas, Nebraska, UCLA Adam Nettina - LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, South Florida, TCU, Nebraska, UCLA Mike Rizzo - LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, South Florida, Texas, Nebraska, BYU Jim Gindin - LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Auburn, Texas, Wake Forest, UCLA Tony Delbusso - LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, South Florida, Texas, Nebraska, UCLA Cyril Tircuit - LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, South Florida, Texas, Nebraska, UCLA Greg Gowins - LSU, Oregon, Oklahoma, Auburn, Texas, Nebraska, UCLA Lorena The Dodgerchick - LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Auburn, Texas, Nebraska, UCLA
