The Wait is Over: Clausen to Start Saturday

Written by In The Bleachers on .

It only took one game on the bench, but Notre Dame Freshman Quarterback Jimmy Clausen was given the green light to start Saturday at Penn State. Out of the three quarterbacks that played on Saturday, Clausen did look the best, but it was against the Yellow Jacket's second teamers. In High School Clausen had never lost a game, and he'll take that streak into one of the most hostile places to play in Beaver Stadium. This will be a difficult test for the young man playing his first game, on the road, in front of 110,000 fans where 90% of them are going to be screaming their lungs out when he is barking signals. The Irish looked rough in every aspect of their game, and if they are really in rebuilding mode, there is no reason why Clausen should not start.
