Louisville to Officially Play the Worst Team (Like, Ever)
In case you missed it (and who am I kidding, we all did), the college football season kicked off last night with what TS Eliot would aptly describe as a "whimper," as NAIA Quincy University overcame a 17-point deficit to upset the Indiana State Sycamores of the FCS Missouri Valley League. Let me say that again:
NAIA Quincy University upset FCS Indiana State.
For those of you keeping score, that's a three division jump in terms of classification. I knew the Sycamores were bad (as in 1-34 over the past three years bad) but to lose to an NAIA school with only 1,200 students? Wow, they must really suck.
The truly interesting part of all of this will be the fact that Louisville opens with Indiana State next Saturday. God help Steve Kragthrope if the Sycamores should even make a first down in that game.
