ITB: What We're Watching

Written by Michael Felder on .

Just got back online in Chicago and we're getting ready to rip into today. This is my final appeal for a solid drink, eat and football spot in the Gold Coast area. Know of one just drop a line in the comment section and I'll check it out. Here's what ITB will be getting into today while enjoying the finer things in life, like hot wings and libations.

Mississippi @ Auburn (SEC Network, Noon)-Dave Neal, Andre Ware, Cara Capuano (Will Air on MSG, FS Detroit; CSN California, Washington+)

Confucious say better to avoid random Big 10 ugly-fest by watching Jevan Snead go nuts against a tired Chizik defense.

Central Michigan @ Boston College (ESPNU, 3:30pm)-Todd Harris, Charles Arbuckle

This is my upset special so I have to tune in. I'm a Dan LeFevour loving fool and I think he's finally going to get some sort of audience for his mad game.

Washington State v. Notre Dame (NBC, 7:30pm)- Tom Hammond, Pat Haden, Alex Flanagan

Watching this game just to do it. I figure that Jimmy Clausen will break some sort of record against Washington State or at least Pat Haden will find a way to annoint him as the greatest player since Montana.

Georgia Tech @ Vanderbilt (SEC Network, 7:30pm)-Doug Bell, Chris Doering (Will Air on CSS, CST, Comcast Network)

Vanderbilt can join Illinois and Washington State. The scary part is they'll get this over with quickly because Paul Johnson's offense eats up clock.

South Carolina @ Tennessee (ESPN, 7:45pm)-Brad Nessler, Todd Blackledge, Erin Andrews

Kiffin vs Spurrier. Really this is about Crompton vs Garcia. We'll see which quarterback is capable of making plays against two of the nation's best defenses. If Kiffin gets the roll out working like he did against Georgia the Sakerlina defense will have to adjust better than Willie Martinez's.

USC @ Oregon (ABC/ESPN2, 8pm)-Brent Musburger, Kirk Herbstreit, Lisa Salters

The Ducks vs the Trojans. I love watching Pete Carroll's squad play and while I'm impressed with Chip Kelly I think that the Trojans can get their offense going and put a hurting on his squad.

Texas @ Oklahoma State (ABC/ESPN2, 8pm)-Sean McDonough, Matt Millen, Holly Rowe

High scoring affair. This game will fully satiate the bloodlust of all those "I want to see touchdowns not defense" type of fans. It does little for me as a defensive purist, but hey I'll still watch to see Colt go 40-56 for 425 yards without ever throwing a pass longer than 7 yards.
