After a pretty solid college football weekend we start this week with one goal in mind; making it to Thursday for the first Thursday nighter in UNC history. That's right folks ITB will be in the house as the Heels trot out their monstrous defense and anemic offense against FSU's version of total melt down. Sounds like a dandy in a league that definitely needs some good will after suffering some major setbacks in the first half of the season.

Unfortunately, and unlike any other school known to man, there are people actually upset about the Thursday night contest, ridiculous.

Speaking of folks getting restless the #2 team in the nation has their own disgruntled natives. After beating South Carolina fans are down right livid at the performance of Greg McElroy.

In the same vein of frustration Spurrier takes a few jabs at Alabama's hard nosed style including their abuse of Moe Brown and Stephen Garcia.

Not sure if this is more frustration or confusion as Matt Hinton takes a look at Terrelle Pryor's progression as a quarterback; or lack there of. Ohio State has some big problems after dropping a game to a one loss Purdue team that wasn't anywhere near as close as the final score indicated.

After NC State started the season "holding" South Carolina to seven points it looked as if their defense was legit. They are not, the folks at State Fan Nation decided to forego their post-game article in favor of posting the live comment thread and it is a winner.

The SEC screws up again.

On a somber note our thoughts and prayers here at In The Bleachers go out to Jasper Howard, his family and the entire UConn community. Their loss truly puts football in perspective and reminds us that we write about, root for and watch a game; life is so much more than a win-loss record. The folks in Storrs have lost a son, a brother, a future father and a warrior. Check out The UConn Blogg, they've got several outstanding pieces about the situation.

UConn Cornerback Jasper Howard

Much like the Sean Taylor incident of 2007; this is a time when men like us should take the time to let people we love know that we care about them, you never know when life can be snatched away without warning.
