10 Things To Watch For In The BCS Championship Game

Folks the season is coming to an end but before I get all sad and sappy on you I wanted to give my brain a break from pounding out the Match Ups to Watch articles. This is my last post before we get our champagne on for the title game tonight. Yes that is right we'll be popping champagne while we watch the championship game.

Our list is broken into two sections 5 things that we hope we see and 5 things that will probably happen but we're not looking forward to at all.

We'll kick it off with the GOOD:

#5 Nick Saban dropping the laser eye beam stare and doing a little bit of chest bumping. We were first introduced to this cuddly side of Saban after the Tide dismantled Florida in the SEC title game; surely Nick's got one more smile in his soul after going full kill mode all week in sunny 79 degree Pasadena.

#4 The Will Muschamp Awesome Face. I'm a defensive guy so I love seeing a guy who gets turned on when the defense makes a play. That guy is Will Muschamp. He is like a dog in heat whenever his boys make a play. Sergio Kindle sack on 3rd down and we get this:

#3 Mack Brown's "please don't let me lose this game" Face. As a Tar Heel from birth I remember the look well; it popped on his face everytime we lost inexplicably to Virginia and everytime FSU took the field. You may remember it from the Nebraska game.

#2 Call me Go West because I'm the King of Wishful Thinking (yes I went Pretty Woman intro there). I want to recreate a moment in broadcast history only this time we substitute Erin Andrews in for Suzy Kolber. That's right folks; we know Joe Willie will be there can someone get him a drink and then a cameo shot with EA? No? Ok.

#1 It better happen at least once. I want to hear the voice of the Bear. He's a legend. He's one of the greatest and hearing that voice say anything is enough to give you goosebumps.

Now for the stuff I definitely am not looking forward to.

#5 Matthew McConaughey on the Texas sidelines. We get it dude; you're cool. You went to Texas and you were in Dazed and Confused playing a dude who hits on high school chicks. You don't shave. Awesome, seriously get off my screen.

#4 A million flags during the game. Luckily this one has a chance of happening since we've got a Big East crew and not the wretches of the ACC and SEC. Although they did miss this call. I just want a clean game, is that too much to ask?

#3 Calling the BCS Championship Game the "Rose Bowl." We already saw the damn Rose Bowl; Ohio State beat Oregon. This game is the BCS Championship Game; they just happen to be playing it in the Rose Bowl. See the difference? Pryor played in The Rose Bowl while McElroy is playing at the Rose Bowl.

#2 Talk about Boise State having a say in the national championship discussion. You have none. This is a two horse race. Bama or Texas. Tide or Longhorns. No votes, no "buts", no "ifs". Just Bama or Texas, only one team. You're #3, maybe #4 depending on where Florida lands.

#1 The season to end. I said earlier today in a tweet that "I'd like to see it go to overtime until August." Today is the most bittersweet day of the year and the last thing I want to see tonight is 00:00 on the clock.
