2010 Offseason: Now What?
Well folks today kicks off the first week since August that we wake up with no anticipation of the week's contests. There's no weekend of games to rant and rave about, no players to get injury updates on and no bad coaching calls to agonize over. Sure there are NFL playoffs and NCAA basketball but we all know they pale in comparison to the greatest sport on the planet; college football.
I went digging in the creates to find the perfect tribute song and what I got was this gem right here:
Notice the ridiculously thick glasses and the sweet harmonies coming from a group that opens the video walking on railroad tracks with black bats. Just like DRS says we'll tip our 40's to the memory of college football, take a drink and then start to think that one day real soon; eight months from now, we'll be hanging out again.
We'll have the countdown folks and while we're waiting on that clock to tick we'll find a way to make it work here at In The Bleachers. This is my first offseason running the site so there will be some growing pains and I'm definitely going to feel my way through things. Feel free to email suggestions or ideas as the more reader involvement we get the better I can give you guys what you want. Between recruiting, the NFL draft, spring football and all the drama surrounding college football we'll have enough going on to still get our daily updates.
The podcast will also keep running including a season recap this week. Our The Good, The Bad and The Ugly feature will recap the week and the season before he takes a hiatus to be replaced by my new, yet to be named brain child.
Drop your favorite memories of the season down in the comments section, also feel free to shoot your emails to InTheBleachers @ Gmail DOT Com or tweet them @InTheBleachers. I can say this; we're going to start an In The Bleachers "Ask a Safety" mailbag so get your questions coming folks and we will answer them ALL.
Sorry CGB but this is my favorite moment from the 2009 season. Go Heels!
