Folks this bowl season has been absolutely unbelievable with the intensity and the upsets. Teams that appeared dead in the water a la Georgia, UCLA and Florida State picked themselves up off the ground to finish the season on a positive note. For the record we're 17-13 through the bowl games which puts us in the lead "picks-wise" in the ITB Pick 'Em Challenge.
However, we're only good for the 11th spot since it is a confidence picking system. Hats off, for the moment, to Tell Burke for pacing us with a16-14 record and 348 points. It is now official that I cannot win the pool. At best I come in second with a TCU-GT-CMU-Bama win combination with 400 points, just a disappointing four points behind SpartenBeta.
So with our mighty 56.7 winning percentage we trudge into the final week of bowls with a smile on our face and a chance to get right and finish closer to 62% than 50%. Just four games this week; three biggies and the GMAC Bowl somehow snuck in here to give us a Wednesday treat.
We'll have plenty of national title coverage as the week rolls on including two podcasts, our own special preview and things to watch. Read more for the final edition of One Sentence Prediction for the 2009-2010 season...
