Wednesday Live Chat: Josh Luchs and Agents plus predictions

Written by Michael Felder on .

On this edition of the live chat we got handed a gift of sorts by the folks at Sports Illustrated in their expose with Josh Luchs former NFL agent. Luchs delivers a tale that was quite shocking for a lot of fans and left many different questions hanging out on the agent front. Personally I was less than shocked but the article did give me a couple different feelings that we'll kick the chat off with.

First and foremost I was less than happy about Luchs naming names, pointing fingers and jeopardizing the reputations and image of prominent players, agents and other sports figures. I thought his reason was flimsy at best, the whole "my daughters will google my name" as cause for exposing 30 athletes, 2 agents and 1 ESPN personality.

My personal unhappiness with the exposure aside there were good issues raised that we'll get into during the livechat including; thoughts on punishment, agent-player interaction being a two-way street and the fact that yes, it happens everywhere.

Come talk some football folks, this is going to be a spirited chat, I can already tell.

Folks as it says we're live at 4:30 eastern and we're talking about the whole agent issue plus predictions. I expect plenty of spirited commentary but if you cannot make the chat be sure to tweet in your question to be a part of the conversation. Thanks for making the live chat fun folks, looking forward to seeing you all.
