Wednesday Live Chat: Mid-Major Dilemma, Heisman Race and Predictions

We're back for your midweek enjoyment folks with another ITB Wednesday Livechat. Last week we hit on the dangerous hits rule and the first edition of the BCS Rankings. This week we'll take on the BCS Rankings from another angle as your faithful leader here has spyed quite the building issue with the mid-majors.

Boise State sits at .8846 in the rankings and TCU sits at .8833 or a mere .0013 behind the Broncos. We'll look at the Broncos, Horned Frogs, the Utah Utes (.7049) and the dynamic that exists between all three of these squads and how their fans and those supporting mid-majors will look at this order as the season progresses.

After we hit on the Mid-Major Issue we'll get to the Heisman Race because we're now in the thick of things with, depending largely on your geographic location, two front runners for the stiff arming trophy. Southeast and east coast folks have got Cam Newton squarely in the front while west coast folks have got LaMichael James sitting there in the lead. We'll hit on both of these guys chances as well as their competition that could be waiting in the wings to sweep into legitimate contention.

As always we'll go heavy predictions but this week we'll look at what Pat Forde has already deemed to be the Upset Weekend of all Upset Weekends! We've got plenty of games to diagnose and every league will be on the table and there are plenty of teams leading their conferences and/or divisions that should be on alert.
