Friday, It's So Fetch! Vol. 2
As we said when we debuted last week Fetch Fridays was all about getting fancy, well folks it doesn't get more fancy than a princess and a wedding; a Royal Wedding. Yeah I was one of the bajillion people around the world who woke up a little early to watch the ceremony, check out the hats, attire and of course Pippa. First and foremost congrats to the couple Kate and Wills had an great ceremony and she is definitely winning, she's a princess. That's bossy.
So, what was fetch about it? Her dress was solid. Classy. They do have the whole arm covered thing but Catherine Middleton made a smart choice. How do I know? Not because I know anything about fashion but because I look at it and don't laugh hysterically. She doesn't look like a puff and fluff. She looks good, arms covered but it is sheer, form fitting and shows off her body. Plus she has a tiara. That's about as fetch as it gets.
Pippa was my highlight but other solid moments in the wedding include the Queen stepping out of the Rolls Royce looking exceptionally tiny and eerily reminiscent of this past Sunday's yellow marshmallow peeps.
William's massive "don't care" face during the extended reading period was classic. What was not classic was the folks who decided that bitching about the Roayl Wedding on twitter was going to be their thing. Some background info as to why you're not only seeing me go HAM on the twitter machine about the Royal Wedding but also how the wedding found its way on to the site today:
I woke up Sunday, Easter Sunday, doing my normal TBS watching and tweeting routine and all I see are people talking about Royal Wedding. There were a lot of happy tweets and some genuinely inquisitive tweets about the folks involved in the wedding and the process itself. Then there were the senseless stream of people who decided they'd wake up, on a Sunday, and maximize the use of their time by complaining about the royal wedding.
Well this is what you're complaining gets you. You've converted me to the Royal Wedding's side with your incessant whining about something that, quite honestly, until Sunday I had never given more than a passing thought. I jumped in with both feet, spent Sunday getting my knowledge up and what started out as a real big jerk move to piss people off turned out to be a pretty cool experience. I enjoyed the pageantry of it all and since I honestly have no clue, nor do I care, if this will happen again in my lifetime I can say at least I've watched one.
Only part I didn't enjoy was the asshat folks who complained or even better, the ones who told us they were ignoring it. BY. RT-ing. ALL. THE. COMMENTS. THEY. COULD.
Overall looks like people enjoyed it and I'm all about people being happy, even for a little while.
Now to wrap up a little Fetch Friday with some non-wedding stuff, clothes. If anyone knows where I can find some J. Crew Chino 9" in-seam shorts, Style #90454 help a brother out. They discontinued the style and since I don't have a girlfriend I am about 97% sure I have no hope of getting this solved quickly.
Be sure to facebook our newest friend, the lady behind Bella Boutique in Bainbridge, GA. Thanks Nicole for the latest coozies I've added to my collection, go check her out she's good tweeple.
