We wrapped up the NBA Finals with a win for the Mavs and while I was busy basking in the glory, outside of soaking up the win I took one more thing away from the Finals, Adidas make a sick, lighter than air basketball shoe. I know because the Derrick Rose commercial came on all the time. Well football season is right around the corner and while I don't know much about basketball kicks when the folks at Adidas started talking cleats my ears perked up because I know my spikes.

Adizero

They're light. As in really light. 6.9 ounces light to be specific. That's lighter than any shoe I've worn by a good 3 ounces and that's a difference that folks are going to see benefits from. The cleats aren't for everyone but defensive backs, wide receivers and running backs are going to pushing to get their hands on a pair and that's what we're here for; We're giving a pair away folks.

Spiller Cleats

Here's how it is going to work folks we're going to run this through the week on twitter, right now I've got two Charlotte High Schools out in front; East Meck and West Charlotte, but we're opening the floor up to any high schooler you'd like to see get the cleats. Simply tell me why your high schooler of choice ought to get the Adizero 5 Star cleats and come Friday we're going to pick a winner and get those cleats out to them. I'm, of course, partial to East Meck and Dub C given my ties to both schools but this is all about you the reader and more importantly getting a lucky kid outfitted with the lightest cleats known to man.

Check out the Adizero 5 Star facebook page, obviously hit us up on the twitter machine with your responses for who should get the cleats and we're going to do our best to get the cleats to a kid that deserves them. Ya know, ITB for the kids. In the mean time get your kid or yourself outfitted with the 5 Star cleat for the season.
