Friday, It's So Fetch! Vol. 5

Written by Michael Felder on .

Friday, it's Friday, gotta get down on a long weekend that starts on Friday! Happy Memorial Day weekend folks and before we get all fetch we do have to salute our troops, say thank you to those who have and do serve in the US Armed Forces. Yes, dad that even means thanks to you and of course Grandpa and Uncle Jeffrey for showing the Air Force the what's what.

Here is also where I give a special Memorial Day shout out to Holloman Air Force Base as well as the entire Fayetteville military complex, both places I spent a lot of time and really helped shape who I am, the good parts.

We're kicking off the official start to the grilling and chilling season and that means my grill skills will be on display this weekend, a weekend I will be spending in Chapel Hill! Yes, that's right I've decided to turn the clock back to 2005, to ungrow up and get my Chapel Hill on with some friends who still live in the area. Chapel Thrill, yes, get ready, I'm coming home.

I know we've got softball Super Regionals this weekend, we've also got college baseball conference tournaments. Sakerlina just got the work put to them by Vandy, the Yellow Jackets put the light out on what NC State fans thought might be a magical tourney run and, yes, of course my Heels blow a 5-0 lead on Miami to lose 7-5. I'll be hitting up the ACC Baseball Tournament this weekend so if you're going let me know folks and perhaps a tweet up can be in order (just know I'll be maniacally chewing on my hat as Mike Fox makes yet another pitching change, burning through our bullpen).

The Hangover Part II came out yesterday, meh, I guess I have to go see it because I am a bro and my bro-ness does need to be supplimented by making sure I watch this flick but I'm just not as excited as I was for the first one. That said, I did enjoy Bridesmaids to the max. Not joking you, I absolutely had one of my best movie going experiences since 2006 when I went and saw Borat. It isn't a Rom-Com, it is some new genre of flick that I've never seen before, basically it is a female-aggressive-comedy and it is hilarious.

Oh, in response to several folks asking about the uber-ridiculous 20.5 carat ring that Kris Humphries gave to Kim Kardashian here is some of the info: Apparently it is a Lorraine Schwartz designer piece that he spent some $2 million on. That folks is not fetch. I'm sure it is quite sparkly but man, ugh, as a guy who has gone and looked at engagement rings before I cannot imagine the utter ridiculousness of this piece. I thought the 2 carat pieces the lady showed me for the hell of it were pretty good sized.

Enjoy yourself this weekend folks, pool party it up, drink beer, don't drink and drive and do have a great time. I cannot wait to get the swim trunks on and get my drink on in the pool. Yeah, I'll be coming out of my shirt for the first of many times this warm season. What shirt is that?

sick kicks
That's right the same shirt that Dirk Nowitski wore during his shoot around last Wednesday. And how can I not close out wishing my Mavericks good luck. The Finals starts next week. I don't care about Lebron. I don't care about your butthurt hate for Lebron. I don't care about super teams. All I care about is righting the wrongs perpetrated in 2006. I care about mashing Dwayne Wade out. I don't want to be "America's Team" in this. I don't want you on my bandwagon. This is for Mavericks fans, the rest of you people STAY OFF MY CLOUD!
