Friday, It's So Fetch! Vol. 35
After a bit of a break to handle some stuff off the scene we're back with Fetch Friday and it is a solid one in the way that you folks like; public call outs, people being stupid and yay, recruiting. As friend of the fetch mentioned today Ann Curry should be on here every week and starting next week she will be. But the kid is tired with all the tennis that's been going on and some of the ugly you're about to see today does not fit with how awesome Ann happens to be.
I felt this jam would be a solid lead in for what we're about to get into...
So yesterday we had two relatively well known recruits make some impactful decisions with regards to their football futures. Joshua Garnett, a five star offensive lineman, decided to go to Stanford over Michigan while James Summers, a four star quarterback but also athlete, elected to drop NC State and head over to Chapel Hill. Yes, that means plenty of inappropriate angry whining to go around. We started with Gunner Kiel and now we've stepped it up to two recruits this week.
It gets fun folks and, as always, a bit um graphic but here we go:

This is what everyone says when someone decides to go to Stanford. It reminds me of when I told my doctor I was drinking more water and he said the same thing. Never.

Ah, he is a piece of fecal matter since he didn't go to Michigan. So choice. Simply stated. Wrong, but simply stated.

Solid work here. If you go to Michigan I hope your ACL stays intact, if you do not go to Michigan I hope you shred all your ACLs! Because I am a super fan!
I'll be honest though, the Michigan fans, as a whole took a while to compile because there were so many overwhelming positive results. I'm not sure if Michigan fans are the world's nicest people; the one I know is obviously nice and/or crazy because she gave me money to babysit her kid so there's that.
As for James Summers, it was um, a bit easier to find language you wouldn't use with your mother.

I search my name on twitter all the time but I also wake up to Carly Simon on Fridays so maybe TheNick_C has a point. But then again I just think he was going to call anyone vain because they found his covert attempt to talk shit about a kid. A sort of "hey if you find what I say that's not good about you then you're the problem, not me."

What is the "that" which is gay here? Is it Summers? Is it going to UNC? Either way the real question "here is the "that" in this scenario a power bottom?"

I commend this guy, almost. Almost in the same way that he almost completes the compliment sandwich. What he should have said was, "You played great at Page. You're a chickenshit for not going to State. Best of luck at UNC." He only said the chickenshit and UNC part. Not a full challenge.

So his light bulb was off prior to UNC? Does this apply to every non-UNC kid? I wonder if Mario Williams "light bulb" ever came on by these standards. Russell Wilson's light bulb certainly lit up the scoreboard.

Personally how can you not respect this game? He has a gun in his picture and he uses all caps while bringing up NC State's five game winning streak over UNC. Then he drops the eff bomb over top of the p-word so you know, he means business.

Kid decommits + Call him dumb = Recipe for success. That simple. A dude that people have been jazzed up about getting decides no and what once was good or in this case, smart, enough suddenly is not.
Which brings us to the end where I have to say, yet again, don't be these people. It isn't cute or funny. It doesn't make you the best fan. It makes you an asshole, plain and simple. Don't be an asshole.
Signing day is approaching and sadly that means more people will be all about this as kids make the most important choice that they've had to make to date. As we've implored folks before, if you see this say something. Two of the more refreshing things, in addition to the Michigan positivity I mentioned earlier were Michigan folks chastising their own morons and commenters in the SFN post doing the same in regard to the tweet's message.
It has to be a culture thing. It cannot be ok.
