Coming Soon to the Podcast

Written by In The Bleachers on .

Don't think that since Adam and I got Phil Steele to come on the show that we are going to stop getting good guests. This week we will be talking with Matt Bracken, a writer from the Baltimore Sun. We will be talking with Matt about the recruiting scene in Maryland. The state has become fertile ground for four and five star high school stars as of late, and we will also chat with Matt about the state of  Big Ten and ACC recruiting.

The week after next we will have a return guest to the ITB podcast. None other than ESPN senior writer Bruce Feldman, who also writes for ESPN The Magazine and is the author of the book "Meat Market: Inside the Smash-Mouth World of College Football Recruiting". Bruce also writes a blog on ESPN.com which he updates a few times a week. Yes it is a pay blog, but if you ask me it is well worth the price of ESPN Insider, and to be honest it is the reason I bought my own ESPN Insider account.

While Bruce is on the show we'll talk to him about the recruits he featured in the book Meat Market (Jevan Snead for example) and how they are impacting college football today. We'll also hit him up with some Pac Ten and SEC News. So that right there is the next two weeks in podcast, and with all of the inquiries from bloggers and the other feelers we have out; we will keep you busy from now until the start of the season.

In The Bleachers Podcast - Eric Kettani Interview

Written by In The Bleachers on .

He's 6'1, 240-lbs and runs a 40-yard dash in the mid 4.5s. He ran for nearly 1000 yards for the nation's best rushing offense a year ago, averaging over 5 yards per carry. He can bench press close to 400 pounds and power clean an equally impressive 395 pounds. A 32-inch vertical leap only rounds out his impressive physical numbers. Wake Forest linebacker and potential top ten draft choice Aaron Curry called him one of the best fullbacks or running backs he's ever played against, while NFLDraftScout.com lists him as their eighth best fullback prospect in all of college football.

He's Navy's Eric Kettani, and last night he joined Brian Sakowski and Adam Nettina on the In The Bleachers Podcast. Aside from talking about his impressive senior bowl performance and possible NFL future, Eric spoke to us about his career at Navy, the NFL scouting process, and who impressed him the most at the Senior Bowl. We here at In the Bleachers want to thank Eric for his time, and wish him the best in both his future military and potential pro football career.
