This past Friday before the UNC Spring Game I was lucky enough to be an in-studio guest with Joe Ovies and Adam Gold over at ESPNTriangle and ESPN 99.9 to talk some football. We hit on the UNC defensive hype and are the Tar Heels really an SEC speed caliber team on that side of the ball.

The obvious TJ Yates questions pop into the picture as we talk about the offense and what the team needs to do to support the defense. Talking less about TJ Yates being the issue as the offensive line and the receiving core maturing into consistent units will go a long way towards the Heels establishing the run and moving the ball on the reg.

Technical warning folks as I do hit on the fly motion and the jet sweep before we talk a little about Johnny White's involvement in both special teams, the passing and the run game. Finding a way to get his speed on the field is a never ending quest and hopefully Butch Davis will have an answer this season.

We wrap up with some expectations both for the spring gameĀ and for how the season can go for the Tar Heels if they are at their best every week. Talk about the importance of the spring game, the recruiting aspect and how the Heels needed to do exactly what they did Saturday, show Butch Davis some support in Kenan Stadium.

Check it out folks and let us know what you think about the spot. I definitely had a blast with Adam and Joe talking football and looking forward to hanging out with them again.
