With all the excitement swirling around Florida and Miami with their new hires we've been working on the twitter to give you all plenty of thoughts and of course yesterday I let folks know how I felt about each of the two hires in the Sunshine State. Then the Will Muschamp presser happened and it just served to further amp up my enthusiasm for Coach Boom. So we've decided to take another look at both the Golden and Muschamp hires but from the eyes of the enemy, Florida State. We've got Bud Elliot from the great Florida State website Tomahawk Nation on today to talk about both hires as well as their match up with Sakerlina in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
We hit the Al Golden hire first and discuss the ups and downs of the Miami coaching search and more important situation. One of the more interesting discussions as we talk about whether or not "The State of Miami" that so many people are harp on is even a real possibility in the current state of college football. Personally, I don't think any school besides Texas, is an a position to just assume they'll pluck every kid in their own backyard.
Talk turns to Muschamp and having seen the presser we both came away not just impressed by Boom's enthusiasm but ultimately seeing the Saban "process" importance that we saw with a coach only a short trip away, Jimbo Fisher. The men appear to be close copies of one another and while they will have different styles watching Muschamp and Fisher grow their careers in such close proximity is going to be a treat.
Last talk gets to the here and now with the Seminoles taking on the Gamecocks in Atlanta. Plenty of injury woes for the Noles to hopefully correct over the next few weeks while Sakerlina has to do some mental repair after being taken to the woodshed their last trip to the ATL. As long as both teams come into the game with their head on straight we should get a treat of a contest.
