In The Bleachers Podcast: Eric Galko from NFL House and the Optimum Scouting Department stops by to talk draft

Written by Michael Felder on .

ITBOn today's show we've got Eric Galko our NFL draft expert from NFL House and the Optimum Scouting Department on to hit on some of the player's we've yet to discuss. First and foremost we get into an ITB favorite player; Rolando McClain who Galko describes as the "ideal inside linebacker" a guy who has drawn play and leadership comparisons to both Patrick Willis and Ray Lewis.

We also touch on some other fan favorites such as Javier Arenas and Mardy Gilyard; two guys who have great film but were somewhat lacking in the measurables department. After a little Brandon Graham-Jared Odrick-Penn State-Michigan brainfart on the host's part we get the program rolling again and get down to brass tax.

Galko talks about why so many negatives are leaking out about players as NFL GMs and Coaches try to take players off their boards and eliminate character issues. Dez Bryant comes up as a recent character issue guy who is doing the "anti-Michael Crabtree" by attempting to show the NFL that he has what it takes to make it in the league.

And of course we can't escape the much hyped Tebow question. Galko confirms that several teams have shown legitimate interest in taking Tim Tebow in the first round and that honestly scares your's truly. We get into the idea of teams using the 1st and 2nd round to find starters and how drafting Tebow completely flies in the face of this idea. Also, Galko shows that it is less the GMs and Scouting departments that are drooling over Tebow and more the Owners, coaches and coordinators that want to take on the PR wet dream.
