In The Bleachers Podcast: Jim Trotter from Sports Illustrated Talks Eric Berry
This is another exciting edition of the In The Bleachers Podcast where we are honored to host Sports Illustrated Senior Writer Jim Trotter on the show. Trotter wrote a very interesting piece in this past week's issue of SI that talks about the Tennessee Volunteer's best draft prospect since Peyton Manning; safety Eric Berry.
Jim Trotter profiled the top ranked safety from multiple angles as he highlighted not only the former Vols on the field prowess but also took some time to chronicle his football IQ and charitable contributions.
From wowing coaches with his defensive knowledge to the game tape of the 5'11" 203 lbs dynamo blowing up ball carriers Berry is the total package at the safety position. However, as Trotter discusses Berry is also a genuine, good character guy off the field. Tune in to find out why Berry dons the number 14, what his first and only splurge has been with his new found stardom and why "grits" have always held a special meaning.
