We know it is early folks but why not kick off the 2011 NFL Draft season with our draft expert Eric Galko from NFL House and the Optimum Scouting Department? That's right, fresh off the extravaganza that was the draft two weeks ago we bring Galko back in to kick off our 2011 NFL Draft breakdown. We're talking early, early, early big boards this show folks so get your fill of what could happen next season.
Before Galko and I get into the names and faces to look for in the 2011 class we touch on a fallen soldier from the 2010 pre-season drafthype machine, Jevan Snead. Galko hits on why it is tough to forecast quarterbacks, what made Snead's fall from grace to devastating and how the signal caller compounded things by deciding to skip his senior year.
After the humbling history lesson we push forward and Galko gives us his take on Robert Quinn, Da'Quan Bowers and Adrian Clayborn. All guys vying for the title of best DE in the 2011 draft class. Eric also hits on what separates Julio Jones from AJ Green and Michael Floyd in the 2011 wide receiver race. While the depth of the 2011 class is tremendous at the defensive tackle and safety position there are no players that rival Ndamukong Suh, Gerald McCoy or Eric Berry in terms of top end talent.
Don't worry we hit on the quarterbacks as well as the quartet of Andrew Luck, Christian Ponder, Ryan Mallett and Jake Locker all are vying to become first rounders. The case for Locker is clear but Galko sheds some light on why Ryan Mallett could unseat the Husky as well as how the Jimbo Fisher system might end up hurting Christian Ponder's NFL Draft slot.
