We wrap up ACC week with Tim Hyland the lead college football writer from About.com and get his take on the ACC. Hyland drops in with some great points about what the ACC needs to do in 2010 as a whole to elevate the league's status. Hyland talks about Georgia Tech's ability to win in bowl games as well as after bye weeks. He's a Paul Johnson guy so you can guess what his answer will be.
In keeping with our theme of this upcoming ACC season we spend some time talking about BC, a team that I vow to never forget about in the grand scheme of things. The rest of the league gets their due and we hit UNC as we always will here at In The Bleachers.
The show closes with us talking a little scheduling as the ACC features some of the most exciting non-conference games for the 2010 season. Hyland brings up a very interesting point as he discusses the need for strength of schedule to be factored into the BCS equation to reward teams for playing stiff competition. Hyland also hits on the Urban Meyer-Deonte Thompson-Jeremy Fowler controversy that took over the scene in the college football world last week.
