Robert Nkemdiche, the nation's number one prospect committed to Clemson and while I'm not big on discussing recruiting in my space I can say that this odd discussion on Clemson's worthiness is bothersome. So after a quick "it's just June" reminder, we dive into college football culture, Clemson as a village and why it is a spot that recruits absolutely enjoy.
Then we get to what really matters, House Hunters. We've all seen the news about the show being staged from multiple fronts. Slate takes the time to tell us why we should care that it is fake and how the lack of integrity is hurting people. Here's a newsflash, if you're using House Hunters to teach you about the home buying process then you are dumb as shit. I learned more about the purchase process from my parents buying our Charlotte home, when I was SEVEN, then I've learned in years of watching House Hunters. It is called House Hunters, we watch people look at properties, say stupid stuff about closets and be amazed at how crappy a bathroom is in their price range; AND THEN WE ALL JUST TRY TO GUESS WHICH HOUSE THEY PICKED!!!
While some people are surprised, which as I say on the podcast is a surprise to me considering how it always has a happy ending and somehow these random Joe Schmoes are great on camera, there are folks who feel just like me. The Atlantic Wire has a smart take on it and James Poniewozik of Time hits the nail on the head with "If House Hunters Is Wrong, I Don't Want to Be Right."
I mean seriously, you want me to watch a show about the real house hunting process? Hells no, because that shit would suck.
